Artist Focus: Saman Torabi
Cartoonist – IRAN
Saman Torabi is a freelance cartoonist who was engaged with this art since his childhood. His artistic career in this field has started 4 years ago in national and international festivals and holding a solo exhibition after years of departure from cartoon and caricature. Holding few individual and group exhibitions, winning numerous awards in international festivals including Poland’s Satyrykon and Turkey’s Aydin Dogan are among his artistic activities during past few years.
Dealing with issues such as peace, culture and altruism is a specification of his art. Saman’s goal is to picture the surrounding with his perspective and show it to the world. He says: “a cartoonist can apply his visual knowledge for declaring a concept, message or even a road to his audience. Cartoonists most certainly are the visual profits.”
