Artist Focus: Hamed Hakimi
Graphic Designer – IRAN
Hamed Hakimi is a graphic designer, art director and a member of Graphic Designer’s Association. He is graduated from Fine Arts’ Collage in graphic designing and BA of Graphics from Islamic Azad University. He began his artistic career with calligraphy training in Iran’s Calligraphers’ Association and Fine Arts’ Collage with the guidance of best art teachers.
After finishing his studies, Hames began his career by working as a graphic designer, art counselor and director in various studios, companies and institutions. Cooperating with various festivals, medias, new agencies and exhibitions as an art counselor is a part of his CV. Working with Tehran-e Emrouz Press, Technological Sciences’ Research Center, Cultural Center of Tehran’s Municipality and cooperating with advertising companies including Sarobon and Iran Novin Center and teaching in Inverse Graphic School are among his experiences. With the help of Hussein Atrvashi and Masoud Jazani, Hamed has established Iran’s Screen Printing School as the first professional center for teaching screen-printing in Iran with the aim of preserving this branch of art.
