Artist Focus: Majid Davoodi

Majid Davoodi, famous Persian cartoonist who creates marvelous artworks loves to paint cartoons because of its narrative essence and impact on the audience. Concept is the most important thing for Majid therefore he pictures those issues that would make the viewer think rather than laugh. Creation of an audio magazine in form of a radio program for cartoonists and a caricature project with specific style are among his recent activities. He talks about his style and says: “as an artist, I feel to change my point of view and observe a phenomenon from another perspective for developing it as an idea. This perspective may sometimes be bitter but my effort is to create a positive outcome in the mind of audience”.
