Artist Focus: Mehdi Sadeghi Rad

Mehdi Sadeghi-Rad got interested in painting during his primary school. He used to copy his picture books, Japanese animation characters and Walt Disney characters at first which was a kind of self-teaching. As the time went by, he became interested in the animation world and car design in his adolescence and this flow was simultaneous with his attraction to photography with an analog camera. His artworks are mystic and make the audience feel the sense of nature. Sense of life, movement and a desire to travel are evident in his photos.
In addition to photography he is busy with directing, storyboard development and animation while he expresses his passion for designing cars by doing some related stuff occasionally. Contrary to the most professional photographers, Mehdi Sadeghi takes advantage of compact and supper zoom cameras. He believes that photography is an art field that is directly affected by the equipment, but a true sense, creativity, finding exact angles and subjects are the most important things as it happens all the time and a golden moment has always been pictured by non-professional equipment.
