Artist Focus: Setareh Behbahani

Setareh Behbahani is a young painter. She has started painting since her childhood and she has lived her whole life with it. This young artist has academically learned this branch of art at collage and university while attending beneficial classes of painting masters including Ahmad Vakili, Mehrdad Khataie and Nosrat-Allah Moslemian. Her paintings are evidently modern and this fact has made her art different from others of her generation.
Setareh says: “human is the main focus of my art; the one who lives in no time and no space. The important thing for me is the identity of human and his sufferings in a non-shaped atmosphere. For I am willing to picture human in a no-time and no-space circumstance, I picture him lonely in a place where you cannot find any signs of life.”
