Artist Focus: Soleyman Miri

Soleyman Miri is an artist engaged with calligraphy, one of the most abstract forms of art in Iran in which an artist creates his inner feeling based on his visual knowledge. What Soleyman thinks about the classic Persian calligraphy and current process of Persian calligraphy is that if our classic calligraphy wants to be accepted in our contemporary society, it must apply some reforms in its traditional ways and be presented to the society in a different way; otherwise it is rehashing itself. Soleyman has performed so many activities concerning calligraphy and has been invited to hold workshops in Europe and Arab countries.
